BC, with three games left, who if any true freshmen will see the field for the first time?

I’ve come to a few beliefs…they don’t have to be yours, they are mine. We can share them but no worries if not.

1. Cumbie was not a bad hire. He was a coordinator at a P5 school with a good resume. Better resume than Dooley had. That said, the game has changed and I don’t believe he has what is required to succeed here. That doesn’t mean he can’t succeed elsewhere. I think he’s a good dude—just in the wrong position at this time in his and our schools place in college athletics.

2. We do not have the players. This was apparent at the end of the Skip era and the situation has NOT been rectified. Too many starters can’t do the basic things required to be successful at this level. I’m not sure there has been a bigger talent gap between us and our peers since I started following Tech closely in 1994.

3. Until we fully fund COA and do better with NIL, we will have trouble attracting a coach who has options. This is the new reality in college football.
