It's that time of year again!! Thanks to all that played last year, and I'd love to see everyone back, plus any other first timers that would like to join. At the beginning of each week I will post all of the conference games, so all you will need to do is reply to my post with your picks. I will keep the standings updated in this top post throughout the season. The conference championship and bowl games will be also be included. Best of luck!

2018 Winner - @techblue4 (** @LatechScoop )
2019 Winner - @hercules88
2020 Winner - @LatechScoop

Rules: For games during the week, I will keep a tally of the picks made before the kickoff of the first game of the night, so that picks can still be made/changed before the Saturday games. On Saturday, have all of your picks in before kickoff of the first scheduled game, if your post is edited after that game begins, all picks will not count for that day. In the standings, the overall record is listed before your name, then the weekly score after.

FOOTBALL 50 Years Ago Today

It's hard to believe this 4th-down play was 50 years ago exactly from today. I saw a Terry Bradshaw interview this week where he stated that the only reason the "Immaculate Reception" was successful is because Franco Harris released downfield. Joe Paterno taught his players that "as soon as the football releases from the QB's hand, begin running towards the football, you never know what could happen". Of course Harris caught the deflection, scored and the Steelers won.

BASKETBALL 2022-23 MBB Game Contract Info

I don't remember if I read it or heard it on a podcast, but there was some question about whether Wyoming would come to Ruston in the future, which reminded me that I needed to post this.

Mississippi College was paid $4,000.

Texas Tech was a buy game and they paid us $95,000.

ULL was a return game from last season. I'd expect the series to continue in Ruston next year.

ULM was the start of a home and home with a return game next season in Monroe November 15, 2023.

Southern was paid $55,000.

Wyoming is a buy game and they are paying us $75,000.

SFA is a home and home and will be returned in Nacogdoches next season at a date TBD.

Jarvis Christian will be paid $8,000.

I'm still waiting on specifics from the MTE.

Interestingly, on the contracts initiated by Tech (Tech home games) with Hester in charge, it was specified that the teams would not exchange game film from their exhibition games prior to the 2022 matchup.

BASKETBALL GAME THREAD | Dunkin' Dogs vs Jarvis Christian

Tip-off is scheduled for 12 PM this afternoon in Tech's final game before the Christmas Break.

Game will be on CUSA.tv.

Sounds like its been a TOUGH few days of practice.

I'll be interested to see how Cobe responds. It sounds like he's really been challenged to play within the offense.

*There will be 5 that Tech WILL NOT announce tomorrow, but they will sign. I THINK they are Robinson, Okeke, Pugh, Webb, and Fields. They want to do the signing day ceremony at their school in February, so Tech will get signature and honor that request of not announcing publicly.

I think that's the 5. Not certain.
