How far removed are we from the Access Cotton Bowl? Of course, nothing matters if we do not win out. I not predicting we will win out for you naysayers but here is where we stand on November 1, 2019:
Group of Five in AP poll
No. 15 SMU-they play Memphis so tune in, since we may pass the loser in the rankings with out even playing
No. 17 Cincinnati-at ECU with 93.9% chance of winning
No. 20 App. St.-lost last night so they get knocked out of AP and pass them
No. 21 Boise St.-play at San Jose St. and have 89.6% chance of winning
No. 24 Memphis-play SMU tonight and definitely pass them if they lose
No. 25 San Diego St.-play Nevada at home and have 93.3% chance of winning
No. 27 Navy-play at UConn and have 94.4% chance of winning
No. 28 UCF-play Houston at home and have 90.4% chance of winning
No. 29 LaTech-bye and we should move up pass App. St., possibly SMU if they lose and pass Memphis if they lose
There is no other Group of Five team team getting any votes behind us. Potentials to get votes if they run off several wins in a row are Temple, Tulane, UAB, winner of east division of CUSA, Air Force, Wyoming and maybe Hawaii, Georgia St.and ULL.
We are currently the 9th ranked the 9th best Group of Five. We should be 7th or 8th going into NTSU game and be ranked at least 28th or 27th in the AP poll if Memphis loses.
AGAIN, NOTHING MATTERS IF WE CANNOT RUN THE TABLE. GO BULLDOGS!
