I mainly watched offense because they were the ones practicing on the field closest to Tech Drive. These notes are just what I observed.
Elijah Walker - he's natural and definitely looks the part. He made some really nice throws, had a couple of nice deep balls which was good to see. He goes through his progressions and I was more impressed by him than I was with Elliot. If J'Mar went down during the season I would be tempted to play Walker, but I'm sure they're doing all they can to redshirt him and save him for the future.
Kam McKnight is a man among boys. Showed some good hands today too.
The freshman receivers are all big and lean. Not skinny, but lean and athletic.
Woodall had to have been one of the ones that failed the conditioning test.
Amik looked good, but man he's small. I still think he can be a star here, but he looks small out there.
Tarzan is definitely in his natural position at slot.
Bobby Holley is still huge and looked surprisingly quick.
Michael Sam really impressed me. If the season started tomorrow, he's running out with the ones. He was covering Veal most of practice and defended nicely, but Veal got the best of him a couple of times.
Speaking of Veal, he's the best receiver on the roster.
Jaiden Cole is another freshman that is big and looks the part. Didn't realize it was him until right before I left, so I didn't watch him much.
