Amik Robertson: I'm not going to lie, it's hard to watch the rest of the defense when he's on the field. He's a lot of fun to watch because he plays with a chip on his shoulder. He was running with the 1's today, but Sam wasn't dressed out. He may be small, but he's not scared of contact. He laid out McKnight in a no tackle drill. He wasn't trying to hurt anyone, that's just how aggressive he is and he doesn't like people to catch the ball. They had him coming off the edge in a package with a lot of DB's on the field and it was scary, he's FAST.
I typed out "not noticing any J'Mar issues today" then he threw a pick the very next play. I'm not worried about him. I think @jay2000 is right in that he's forcing it too much right now. I think he will be fine, but like others have said he's young and he has the reigns. He's going to mess up. If Tech isn't in contention for a conference championship I don't think it will be because of him.
With that said, Elliot continues to impress me more every time I see him. I'd be shocked if he started a game, but he's proving he can be a reliable backup.
Bonnette continues to burn the defense on deep balls
Ferguson is dropping into coverage some and I like it. Made me think about if he was better at that last year we may have won the game at Arkansas. He was the one trying to cover the TE that caught the winning TD.
I think the defense will make a big jump this year. I have been really impressed.
Wallace is practically impossible to move even when he's doubled, he just looks so out of shape.
