JMar: A. Couldn't realistically ask for much more. I sure hope this new JMar shows up every game.
WRs: B. A few too many drops, but a good performance versus an overmatched secondary.
RBs: B. Running behind not so great run blocking. Henderson can do everything except hold onto the football.
OL: C-. Most of the guys do their job in Pass Pro, but every game we seem to have one lineman who looks like they just smoked a big bong right before the game. This game it was Kirkpatrick. Run blocking against an undersized DL was spotty at best.
DL: B. BG's OL is actually decent. We just lack depth. We were getting gassed on a couple of BG's drives.
LBs: A. Some of our slobberknockers are still being asked to cover receivers, but that's not their fault. Goal line stands were awesome.
DBs: B. Amik finally looks comfortable in the new scheme and his athleticism is showing again. Sneed still looks a little lost and seems to be a step slower than last year - maybe he's still adjusting to the new scheme. The rest of the DBs performed well against a team that really had only one real threat (Morris). BG drops helped us look better.
Coaching: B. Still too many delayed handoffs - they catch our RBs from behind more often than not. Still keeps players who aren't performing on the OL in too long instead of subbing someone who could do better that day. Holtz passed more and let our QB and WRs do their thing, which is good. Diaco's D is just hard to get a handle on. When we put more toward the LOS and get pressure, we look good. Then we let an O march down on us, only to stuff them at the goal line. Red zone D is pretty darn incredible, actually. It seems to be what this Defense does best.
Kneel down at the end up 35 - 7 was classy.
