On June 13th, Rick Stansbury got Charles Bassey to commit to WKU. Bassey is the #9 player in the country.
Today, it comes out that Stansbury has hired Bassey’s mentor/guardian:
I’m not completely convinced that Stansbury is running a clean program, but man he figures out a way to bring in some premier players.
If you remember, Mitchell Robinson was committed to WKU last year before ultimately deciding to sit the year out and enter the NBA Draft. Robinson was selected in the 2nd round of the Draft and didn’t play a lick of college basketball or participate in NBA combine.
