I've said for some time that I have felt like Sean Isabella is biased in his approach to Tech athletics. Here is a good example.

Last night I noticed this headline from the ST on Twitter: "Pitching depth, athleticism could be missing links for 2017 Tech baseball."

This struck me as unfair, being that we just came off our best season in 27 years and were one game away from winning a regional. Writing an article about the possible deficiencies of the 2017 team at this point in time is not appropriate. At the very least, if you want to write an article about next year's team, title it something that reflects that, don't title it "Here is what is wrong with next year's Tech team."

So I tweeted the ST "another negative article from Isabella. Best season in 30 years and you write something negative about next year?" This article reeked of the "Tech yet to make it past NIT Quarterfinals" headline when we were on our NIT run two years ago.

This morning the title of the article has been changed to "La. Tech looks to add pitching, speed." Forgetting that our guidelines say not to abbreviate the name La. Tech, its a much more positive headline.

We have to keep speaking out about this bias and let the ST know that we won't tolerate this hack journalism in our own backyard.
