In the closing seconds of the Tech vs. MTSU men's basketball game last night, I met the mother of Drew Cooper. She indicated that Drew is a senior basketball player at Franklin Parish HS (Winnsboro, LA). She indicated that her son is visiting the campus, and he's in the stands with his dad.
After the game, I hung around to meet Drew and his dad. Lonnie was an outstanding guard at Tech from 1995-1999, and he is in the Tech Hall of Fame. Lonnie played at McCall HS in Tallulah (LA).
Prior to entering this message, I looked up Drew on Franklin's 2024-2025 roster on MaxPreps, and he was not listed. I looked him up as a junior on the 2023-2024 roster, and he was listed at 6'8" and 205. He appeared to be more than 205 lbs. in his senior year.
BC: Any recruiting news on Drew and perhaps being a Bulldog next season (2025-2026)?
