Eric Konkol & Brooke Stoehr met w/ the
media today.

I wasn’t able to cover it live, but here are a few notes:

Brooke Stoehr:

- Very proud of how the team bounced back after the loss to UTSA.
- It was finals week, lot going on leading up to the Rice game, but the focus never wavered.
- Anna Larr & Keiunna Walker were tremendous. Didn’t realize Anna Larr had 44 until end of game, but knew she was having a great game.
- Kept the same focus for UNT, Walker took 3 charges in the 1Q to set the tone.
- Playing for a championship in March is always the goal, we are doing just that this week.
- ODU is 22-6, 12-4 in the league. They’ll start 5 seniors, really versatile 1-5.
- Monarchs average 17.5 offensive rebounds per game, will need to rebound and defend at a high level.

Eric Konkol:

- Very pleased with the performance on Thursday night, although we probably didn’t defend as well as we needed.
- Struggled to put Rice away, but we made enough plays on the offensive end.
- Quick turnaround with UNT on Saturday, but we know what they bring to the table.
- Far too many turnovers, need more from our guards.
- Made the 9-0 run late to tie it, but we didn’t make the plays down the stretch. The foul wasn’t smart. Perry hit the big 3.
- ODU on Wednesday night, playing their best ball of the year after wins over FAU & FIU.
- On Arch & Christon playing last game at home, love those guys so much. They’ve meant so much to our program, bring consistent effort every day. Great leaders for our program.
