While enroute to Chic Fil-A in Lake Highlands for a late lunch (2:30 p.m.) today, I came to a stop due to a red light. Once the light turned green, I proceeded and recognized a car with Navarro College parked in front of Chipotle. I immediately turned right in the parking lot and parked next to the car. While walking to the front door, I spotted a young gent, approx 6'3" to 6'5" seated at a table and wearing a shirt with "Navarro Bulldogs Football" on it. I asked him if he is recruiting today, and he replied "yes." I then asked him if he played college football, and he replied, "yes, Louisiana Tech." I whipped out my La. Tech Alumni card and fave him my name. Before he told me his name, he stated that he is formerly from Kansas. I voiced "you must be Jens Danielsen, #77, right tackle." He was impressed! We exchanged business cards and chatted on his days at Tech and about the upcoming season.
Jens is formerly from Wichita, KS. He played one year (2011) at Coffeyville CC in Kansas.
He arrived in Ruston in 2012 and was redshirted. He played primarily at right tackle from 2013-2015 but also played at left tackle and some at guard. He was Second Team All-Conference in 2015. While at Tech, he played at 6'4" & 290. Today, he stated that he's much lighter than his playing days.

Recruiting Coordinator/Strength & Conditioning Coach at Navarro College in Corsicana, TX, approximately 60 miles south of Dallas.
