With the NCAA acclimation process, Tech was in helmets today so there's not a whole lot you can tell. But here's at least an early look at the depth chart.
OL:
LT - Brown, Dugas
LG - Mahaffey, (?)
C - Wixson, Manning
RG - Brunson, Carpenter
RT - Danielson, Edinburgh
DL note, Cedric Johnson was with the ones and Tyler Porter with the twos. Skip Holtz told the media after practice Aaron Brown has a class to finish before he joins the team.
CB:
Ephraim Kitchen was with the two's on the right side and impressed me. Roland Dunn on the left side.
S:
James Jackson was with Secdrick Cooper and the second defense. Lloyd Grogan played nickle. There was a bit of a dime look at times with Michael Mims with Grogan. Nick Thomason was in the middle.
WR:
Alfred Smith is the real deal. Javonte Woodard looked good. Sanford Seay has made a turnaround in the offseason and looked like he's never looked since he's been in Ruston. Rhashid Bonnette has some work to do physically.
RB:
Jaqwis Dancy was the no. 3 RB.
QB:
Driskel is really fast and throws the ball on a frozen rope. Ryan Higgins had a good day too. Alex Woodall impressed me -- especially for a guy who hasn't thrown much in a year. Price Wilson has indeed lost weight and still slings it. J'Mar Smith looked good decent the little bit he got to throw.
