Tech travels to FAU Thursday night. Tip is set for 6PM and will air on Stadium.

FAU is 10-11 overall and 4-5 in league play.

After winning only 27 games combined the previous 3 years, the Owls have already won 10 in 2017-2018. Michael Curry, an 11 year NBA veteran, is in his 4th season as the head coach in Boca Raton.

The Owls have won 4 of their last 6 in conference play, including a buzzer beating win over Rice on Saturday.

Center, Ronald Delph, is a monster in the middle. He’s averaging nearly 14 points per game, 9 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks. With Tech unlikely to have the services of Joniah White, the Bulldogs will likely look to play a fast-paced game throughout the night. Delph is an Auburn transfer.

Justin Massey hit the game-winner against Rice and is averaging 13 points per game on the year. Massey shoots 33% from 3.

Gerdarius Troutman is scoring 12 points per game and is the best three-point shooter FAU has by a long shot. He’s shooting 43% from behind the arc.

Outside of Massey and Troutman, who have combined for 271 three point attempts, no one else on the roster has attempted more than 39 triples. Also, outside of those two, no one on the roster has more than 6 made 3’s.

As a team, the Owls make 32% of their 3 point attempts.

Averaging only 69 points per game, the Owls really like to slow things down and grind it out in the half court.

This is a big road trip for Tech with four straight home games to follow. Take care of business and Tech can then shift its focus towards a possible top 4 seed in the Conference USA tournament.
