In review, our last two recruiting classes, 2016 and 2017, have been in my opinion, dreadful. Aside from perhaps 10 to 12 from the two classes combined, there are no assurances of significant future contributions. In addition, 33% of the 2017 class is comprised of undistinguished Juco's. I offer the Aussie punter as the poster child for support of that assertion.
The two classes are littered with players that may be too slow, or that are too great a risk academically, too great a risk character-wise (only 1), too great a risk injury-wise, or present a great risk that they will be unsuccessful at their "projected" college positions (being already rather undistinguished at their high school positions).
IMO, it is critical that the 2018 class be exceptional. BTW, I must have forgotten, but why is Ladarious Thomas not listed on the roster?
