We are going to keep track of all former Diamond Dogs in this thread throughout the 2022 season.
MLB
Phil Maton (Houston Astros) -- 3 appearances, 0-0, 3 IP, 2 hits allowed, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 3.00 ERA (Maton is making 1.55 mil in his 6th season in MLB in 2022)
MILB
Braden Bristo (AAA, New York Yankees) -- 3 appearances, 0-0, 4.2 IP, 4 hits allowed, 1 ER, 4 BB, 4 K, 1.93 ERA (2nd year in AAA, needs to breakthrough into MLB but he's still only 27 years old)
Phil Diehl (AAA, Cincinnati Reds) -- 4 appearances, 0-0, 4.1 IP, 4 hits allowed, 4 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 8.31 ERA (3rd year in AAA, has 16 career MLB appearances, Reds are an awful team this year so he should be up in the big leagues at some point)
Brent Diaz (AA, Milwaukee Brewers) -- 4 GP, 4/14, 1 2B, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 1 BB, 5 K, .286/.375/.786 (2nd year in AA, at 26 years old this is a huge year for Diaz. He's got a back-up catcher profile, but he's going to have to hit more to get promoted.)
Kent Hasler (A+, Milwaukee Brewers) -- 1 appearance, 0-0, 1.1 IP, 1 hit allowed, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 0.00 ERA (Hasler is 26 years old in A+, he's about 4 years older than everyone else. Needs to have a monster start to the year and get bumped up quickly.)
David Leal (A+, Oakland Athletics) -- 2 appearances, 1-0, 5.2 IP, 5 hits allowed, 2 ER, 1 BB, 9 K, 3.18 ERA (Leal feels like he left Tech 20 years ago, but he's still only 24. Solid start to the year, and he should get bumped up. He struck out 78 and only walked 8 last season, so he's doing what he does.)
Parker Bates (A+ Kansas City Royals) -- 4 GP, 3/13, 1 3B, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 4 K, .231/.333/.385 (First full-season in pro ball for Bates)
We'll keep track of it throughout the year. Always ask questions if you have them!
