I posted this on ucf.rivals.com under the fan forum. I don't know if you guys have a more busy site for your athletics, but here it goes.
I have to say that I am really happy for the Bulldogs this season. For some reason, I always thought of them as a team that could play tough against big name teams, kind of like UCF when they were independent (I wasn't a fan in those days I might add). I know that they always wanted out of the WAC as they were the misfit toy as far as geography is concerned. I'm happy that they finally got their wish for C-USA even though the conference has been watered down. This draws similarity to our bitter-sweet entrance to the Big East.
This could be a WTF post for some, but for me, I have always thought that they had great potential and always did the most with less. Glad to see them at #20. If they had beaten A&M, they would be sitting pretty for a BCS bowl after the Aggies took down Bama.
Also cool to see other teams like Toledo, NIU, Ohio, ULL and such flirting around with the top 25. Being a UCF fan for 7 years has taught me to root for the underdog. I will always root for these teams to have a moment in the limelight.
