Tech will travel to Nicholls State for a midweek match-up on Tuesday night.

First pitch is set for 6:30 PM.

Game will be aired on You Tube Live. I’ll post the link when Tech tweets it out.

Tech is 5-2 overall after dropping 2 of 3 to Tulane over the weekend.

I assume that Cade Gibson (1-0, 3.00) will get the start on the mound for the Bulldogs.

Mike Silva is in his first season as the HC at Nicholls State.

Silva was the pitching coach at Tech from 2019-2021.

The Colonels are 4-4 overall.

They dropped 3 of 4 to Missouri to open the year, fell in midweek to Tulane, then swept Mississippi Valley State this past weekend.

D1 Baseball picked Nicholls to finish last in the Southland in 2022.

Top 2022 Draft Prospects: 1B Edgar Alvarez, RF Xane Washington

Wes Toups is hitting .450 with 1 HR and 9 RBI in the early going. He was their top returner offensively in 2022. Hit .261 last season.

Dane Simon will be in the outfield, he’s hitting .345 over his first 8 games. He also has 5 stolen bases. Will need to keep an eye on that.

Xane Washington will be in RF. He’s one of their better players draft wise, hitting .357 with 2 HR.

Edgar Alvarez has some pop at 1B. He’s hitting .310 with 2 HR and 10 RBI.

Pitching wise? I’ve got no clue. I can’t find much on them.

Luke Barbier is a left-hander that started the last midweek game against Tulane. He's 5'10, probably throws 82 like I did so you can imagine how that might go if he's on the mound (not good). He didn’t get out of the 2nd inning, allowed 4 ER in 1.1 innings of work.

Can’t lose this one if you’re Tech.
