Until January 11, football coaches can have no contact with recruits. The early signing period brought signatures from linebacker Randy Hogan, offensive linemen Drew Kirkpatrick and Hanner Shipley along with kicker Brady Farlow for Louisiana Tech. Tech grayshirt and former Monroe Ouachita offensive lineman Kennedy Madison, has also joined the team.
After the bowl game any attrition that may occur could open up some more places for Tech to sign in the 2017 class but as of now I see Tech going after a couple of defensive backs with one likely being an upperclassmen and a defensive lineman. The addition of Hogan at linebacker likely fills those needs as far as numbers go. Other than those spots on defense, I think Tech would take a player they see who could make an impact like West Monroe athlete Trey Coleman. Commits Amik Robertson and Elijah Walker are Tech's two commitments who will be the most sought after down the stretch from my assessment.
Contributing to the aforementioned possible attrition would be changes on the coaching staff but this attrition would come to the recruiting class more than the current roster. In recent years, Tech has lost coaches in the offseason and whether fans like it or not, more often than not players have committed to coaches more than the school itself so a coach leaving could affect the recruiting class.
A couple of names to watch at defensive back for Tech would be Harrell Blackmon (Jackson Callaway), Antonio Howard (Independence CC), JaCorion Andrews (Monroe Neville) and Jaiden Cole (Monroe Neville).
At defensive line, West Monroe's Dennis Collins is someone to watch along with Milton Williams (Crowley, TX).
