How good is this kid? What an impact!
Three games into his tenure as a full time player, I think I can safely state that JF is the best freshman I've seen in a Tech uniform since Kenneth's rookie season and, given the learning curve at DL vs. RB, he might be the most impressive freshman since even before that. Speed and more speed, with a frame that can clearly add about 20 more pounds and increase strength.
He will be Tech's all time sack king barring injury.
Do they split freshman of the year honors between offense and defense? If so, he's a shoe-in for DFOY (if not, Stockstill will win it).
I don't feel too bad for Canty being Wally Pipp'd. He'll still get his reps. I actually like the idea of trying him at MLB this offseason. LSU (I know) did this with Beckwith (about the same H/W/S as Canty) at a similar stage in his career to fantastic effect.
