I spoke with three-star DE Alven Johnson about his visit to La Tech on June 18th.
Johnson is currently a Baylor commit, I would call it a soft commit.
About his visit, Johnson said, "I LOVED IT!!! I really liked the business building. I had a really informative talk with Coach Holtz. The priority that you guys put on family in the closeness of your players really struck my attention."
At this point, he said he has ruled no school out, and Tech is definitely in the mix.
I think there are a couple of guys Tech would take before Johnson, but I could see Tech taking him if a couple of guys commit elsewhere.
