I spoke with Donovan Kaufman over the weekend to see where things stand with him and La Tech on the recruiting trail.
Kaufman is projected to play S for the Bulldogs. He and Damon McFarland are the top two safeties on Tech's board at the moment.
Kaufman said that La Tech is firmly in his top 5 along with Vanderbilt, Memphis, Colorado, and Army. He loves the proximity to home that Tech provides and said that he has a great relationship with the coaching staff.
At this point, he has no timetable for a commitment. He said he wants to make a commitment when it feels right.
