La Tech hot after East Texas back

I'm not really sure we have room in this recruiting class for 2 RBs. I am personally of the opinion that you can't ave too many big bruiser RBs, but we are in dire need of depth on the defensive end and don't require too many RBs at this time. I could see us taking 4 DBs (have 1), 2 Ss, 5 LBs (have 1), and 5 DL (have 1). Offensively, I think we get 1 QB, 1 RB (have 1), 1 TE, 2 WRs, and 4 OLs. I'm no expert of course, but this is how I see it working out.

He does remind me a lot of Dixon and could be a good player to get if we have room. I just don't see it.

Of course we are assuming that Ratliffe will play RB. We could just as easily be recruiting him as a DE. He certainly seems to be versatile enough to fit in wherever we need him.

If that is the case, I think he needs to put on some more weight. I think he has a good frame for it and would still have a year and a few months to put on the weight (not to mention Hester could put some meat on him). Think it is a risk unless he gets more time at DE and bulks up some, but we will see. I could also see him being a LB even though I didn't see anywhere that he has played the position.

He is being recruited as RB all the way. Kid did not live in Texas his soph year, so people are now finding him.. he is blowing up. The video you see is from him never playing before, never training. he is 6' 2 1/2" 219 now, ripped up in shape, 40 time is 2 tenths lower now and he split carries with another D-1 back at Elysian Fields.

the other back he split carries with, La tech is recruiting him as athlete. http://sports.yahoo.com/latech/football/recruiting/player-Jakobe-Owens-179983
