The Lady Techsters picked up a commitment from LaShanda Green of Murray State Junior College. Green played high school basketball at McAlester HS (Okla.) and won a state championship. She was a full qualifier out of high school and had division one offers but she decided to play for her cousin Crystal Robinson at MSJC. Robinson played with Lady Techster head basketball coach Teresa Weatherspoon for the New York Liberty.

Dan Olson of GirlsBasketballReport.com ranked Green as the no. 6 Freshman in the country. Green finished her freshman season with nearly a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio. She has four years to play three for the Lady Techsters.

If I am not mistaken, crystal Robinson actually came to tech out of high school but went home after a couple of weeks home sick. If she would've stayed, we might have one another NC or two. Ah those were the days.

Robinson went to college at Louisiana Tech
but left after one year. She transferred to Southeastern State in
Durant, 39 miles from Stringtown.

Good catch.
