After continuing to speak to folks about the welcome home gift for Dave I have decided that writing a letter to him and presenting him with the gift card is the best plan of action. Here is the letter that I have written. Please feel free to chime in.

There’s no other way to say it: you are truly a Louisiana Tech legend. As we reflect on your 43 years as the ‘Voice of the Bulldogs,’ we can confidently say that we feel there is no better sports broadcaster in the entire country. Stallworth to Cangelosi is just one of the thousands of iconic calls that will never be forgotten by Bulldog fans. September 5th marked your final game as the voice of the Sioux City Explorers. While we know baseball is your first love, Bulldog fans love what you bring to the radio on a nightly basis whether it be football, basketball or baseball. As a gift of appreciation and to welcome you home for good, those of us here at BleedTechBlue have enclosed a token of our appreciation.
