The MLB Draft began last night and will continue through Wednesday.
The one scout I spoke to doesn't see anyone being selected from Tech. The only name he mentioned that he liked was Leal, but doesn't think he has the velo to pitch at the next level.
Me, personally, I think Mallard is Tech's best chance at having someone selected, but he doesn't have a great arm in the outfield and really struggled last in the season.
I also wouldn't be shocked to see Robbins selected with him having two brothers already in pro ball. He's already 23 years old, and it's all about who ya know. If he is willing to play for pennies, a team may be willing to select him.
Again, I'm totally speculating on both Mallard and Robbins.
If no one is selected, that means all that Tech will lose off this team is the 5 seniors.
The lack of pro talent likely had a lot to do with Tech missing out on a regional. At the end of the day, talent usually wins out.

USM P Nick Sandlin was selected 67th overall by the Indians last night.
