Tech will begin their season this weekend on the road at Pepperdine. It will be a 4 game series.
D1 Baseball has Tech projected to finish 6th in the league.
Kent Hasler is the 13th best MLB prospect in Conference USA. Quinton Logan is the 23rd while Logan Robbins is 26th.
Tyler Follis is the 19th best prospect for the 2019 draft.
Steele Netterville is expected to make an impact right away as a freshman. He has big power, had a huge fall.
Logan Bailey will be the Friday night starter. He’s a command left handed. 86-88 with a good curveball and feel for a change-up.
Matt Miller likely slots in Saturday, he’ll be 89-90 and can run it up to 92. We saw a lot of him late in 2017.
Robbins is likely the no. 3 starter. He’s another lefty that’ll be 87-89.
Follis is slotted for the midweek role.
Hasler will be at the back end up of the
bullpen again, he’s been up to 93.
Quinton Logan is another left handed pitcher that will be 89-91.
As you can see, Burroughs filled his holes on the mound especially from the left side.
Clayton, Warken, and Huddleston are names to watch at C, 1B, & 3B. Warken has some power.
Mallard at the top is going to provide a speed element to the lineup.
Burroughs mentioned Hunter Wells as an infielder to watch. He’s a switch hitter that can really hit.
I believe they have gotten down to the 35 man roster based on what I’ve heard. Not sure who all was cut though.
