I witnessed an unbelievable performance on Tuesday night (12/11). The basketball game involved two 6-A programs - McKinney High School at Lake Highlands High School.

Lake Highlands (9-4) had knocked off the #8 ranked team, Sulphur Springs, on Saturday night on a neutral court. McKinney had a losing record going into the game on Tuesday night.

A senior guard, 5'10" and approximately 160-165, by the name of Byron Schoby (pronounced "Scobey") for McKinney LIT up the hardwood. He had 44 points (out of 61).

I do not recall him missing a shot in the first half, including two-pointers, three-pointers, and free throws. He weaved in and out of the paint, scoring points, and passing to others for the score (as if Day Day Bracey), but what caught everyone's attention was that he was knocking down three-pointers from the NBA line and beyond.

When he came out to warm up prior to the third quarter, he missed his first shot, and then proceed to make eight three-pointers in a row.

Well, he's human! He scored seven points in the second half and ended up with 51. What a performance! He was in th
"twilight zone" in the first half.

If I recall, Tech has already offered two guards who committed for 2019-2020, but I went ahead and e-mailed info on this player to Duffy Conroy at Tech.

Oh! He was averaging 28.4 ppg after the first 10 games, of which he scored 40+ in two games.

Check out his unbelievable play by going to "Byron Schoby" and check out his highlights versus Plano Senior High, Denton Guyer, and others...incredible!
