Two weekends remain before National Signing Day on February 5th.
Tech is really looking for an additional DB and a grad transfer DT/NT.
I think they have a pretty good shot at both grad transfer DT/NT from Texas, Gerald Wilbon & D’Andre Christmas-Giles. Both are South La kids, Tech recruited both out of HS.
Visitors for this weekend:
WR CJ McWilliams — McWilliams signed in the early period out of Haughton. He was unable to take his official in December due to a deep playoff run.
OL Bert Hale — Hale signed in the early period out of Oak Grove. He was unable to visit in December due to a deep playoff run.
CB/S Dallas Taylor-Cortez from Iowa Western. He’s the priority right now. Tech wants a commitment. Will be another 3 for 3 guy, like Jemaurian Jones. Signed with Iowa State out of high school.
WR Jerrod Means — Transfer from Tennessee, signed with Tenn in 2019, had 25 offers out of HS, I think Tech has a really good shot. He’d be here for spring if he commits.
S Malik Putney will not be visiting this weekend anymore. Also, I think Tech could possibly add a grad transfer kicker. Boniol is going to be a stud, but he’s coming off an injury and he’ll be a true freshman.
Sunday is going to be a good day. A really good day. I’ll leave it at that.
