"What about Conference USA? Louisiana Tech and Charlotte appear to be the top candidates with Southern Miss just outside. Old Dominion, who did not bid to host, could also be a factor in the league race. I expect the top two to make the first cut with a strong chance at a third joining them, depending on other outcomes."

"There will almost certainly be at least one Conference USA team among the 16 hosts and there’s a strong argument for a second. I do wonder if the three who bid to host all make the 20 and the C-USA Tournament serves as a bit of playoff for a host spot (or two)."
