I still haven't focused on this PFF stuff, but found this article ranking the Top 101 players interesting.

The PFF scores caught my eye as two Cal linebackers had season ratings of 91.6 and 88.9. When I watched them beat Washington 12-10 with no offensive touchdowns I knew that offense was historically horrible and the defense was very salty.
No only did they have two unbelievable linebackers, but their defensive backs had 21 interceptions on the year. Their new coach has quickly changed Cal from an all offense, no defense team to just the opposite.
As a side note the end of the Washington game was some of the most exciting end of game experiences I have witnessed. The funny part was watching the student "rush" the field after politely waiting for the Washington to get off the field. No one jumped onto the field, they all proceeded in an orderly manner to the designation stairs to access the field.
