Spring Practice is almost here. How do we look headed into Spring?

OFFENSE

OL - C+. No real standouts, but we have some depth and experience. Finding a road grader would really benefit our run game.

RB - B-. Dancy is good and explosive, but likely lacks the size and durability to be an every down back. Tucker is servicable and has developed nicely as a team player. Don't see a lot to write home about after those 2, though.

QB - C+. JMar's gonna JMar. Will we have a true and open battle at QB, or just lip service as to competition and then hand the job to JMar? Elliot and Allen should be a year further along as to scheme and mechanics, and both are intriguiging. Thomson, I believe, is supposed to show up for Spring. He's likely too raw to really throw his hat in the ring yet, but seeing what his talent level is should be interesting.

WR - A. We're talented and deep. Easily the best and deepest unit on Offense.

DEFENSE

DL - D+. We lack numbers. We are young. If you count Baker as a DE in the new scheme, this grade may improve to a C-. Does Murphy add any substance to the mix? We seem to have some young, raw talent coming in. Maybe they will mature quickly and surprise. I sure hope so.

LBs - C. We're not devoid of talent. A lot depends on Diaco and how the new scheme plays out with our personnel.

DBs - A. This group is loaded. If Diaco can generate some decent pass rush, this bunch can really shine.

K & P - the great unknown. We better hope the new guys have talent.

Who surprises and impresses during Spring?

Thoughts?
