As of March 8th, Louisiana Tech is 5 and CUSA is 9th overall. The non-conference winning percentage for CUSA is outstanding at .5915, 84-58. Currently, only 2 teams are under.500, one of which is Rice who has had one of the most difficult schedules in the country so far. In fact, no so far is less than 2 games over .500 on their schedule.
Looking forward, the next 40 days on the schedule is much more difficult than the final month. Tech faces ULL, Southern Miss (8-3) x3, @Charlotte (9-4) x3, McNeese (8-4) x2 , @Rice x3, and @ODU (9-4) x3. If we can get through that gauntlet at 10-5 or better, we will be starting to discuss hosting a regional. Even at 9-6, we could have an outside shot.
