It took just 5 days after losing to Louisiana-Monroe for S. Miss. to determine that their former starting QB, Kwadra Griggs, had suddenly, almost miraculously, been rehabilitated and was immediately available to rejoin the team! HALLELUJAH! PRAISE GOD AND PASS THE AMMO!
And only as Devine Intervention could ordain, the reinstatement coinsided with the cancellation of this week's scheduled game with Appalachian State, providing Griggs a full seven days to prepare for the Golden Eagles next opponent. Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound!
Meanwhile:
Little Jack (Abraham) Horner sat in a corner, his football career was a wreck;
He said to himself, "I'm back on the shelf!
If only I'd stayed at LaTech.....!"
Or maybe this:
Little Jack (Abraham) Horner sat in a corner, with nary a football to fumble.
His day in the sun had a very short run,
And his football career took a tumble!
