Alright, here's the deal:
GA Southern starting QB Shai Werts has been out since November 11th w/ shoulder injury. Back-up QB Justin Tomlin went down with an ankle injury against App State and had surgery, so he's out.
Where do the Eagles turn? To its third-string QB, Miller Mosley. Mosley is a Wofford transfer, RS SR.
Mosley is from Mobile, AL. He signed with Air Force out of HS in 2016 over offers from Navy, Army, Brown, Kennesaw State, and Wofford.
Mosley's career:
2016 (Air Force) -- Redshirted
2017 (Wofford) -- Reserve QB, 4 carries for 25 yards, holder on PATs
2018 (Wofford) -- Played in 13 games at QB, 49 carries for 258 yards, 2 TDs, completed 18/36 (50%) for 343 yards, 2 TDs
2019 (Wofford) -- Played in 12 games at QB, 22 carries for 117 yards, 1 TD, completed 6 passes for 55 yards
2020 (Georgia Southern) -- Played in 5 games at QB, 13 carries for 49 yards, completed 6/15 (40%) for 131 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT (majority of his work came against App State in their last game)
He has a 47.1 overall PFF grade, 34 as a passer, 64.7 as a runner.
I will have a report on starting QB Shai Werts in a bit, but it looks like Mosley is expected to be the starter.
Werts is taking reps in practice, and per Chad Lunsford, "If he wants to get on the field, we're going to find a way. You know, if its one play, or a bunch of plays, I don't know if he wants to do it, if he feels like his body can do it. Obviously, we're not going to put him in a situation where his health is at stake or anything like that, Shai is a warrior. Has done a lot for this program, and definitely would want to reward him with that if we could."
So we will cover Werts just in case he gives it a go.

It’s no secret that as the Georgia Southern Eagles football team prepares for their bowl game on December 23, they’re beaten down and banged up from a tough season.
