SO QB Max Duggan will get the start at QB for TCU Saturday night.

Duggan signed w/ TCU in the 2019 recruiting cycle out of Lewis Central HS in Council Bluffs, IA. He was the 9th rated pro-style QB in the country, 4-star.

2020 stats: 136/227 (60%), 1,635 yards, 9 TDs, 4 INTs, 513 yards rushing, long of 81, 9 TDs

PFF Grades: Overall 77.8, Passer Grade 67.6, Rushing Grade 79.8

Passing Details:

At LOS or Behind: 54/61 (89%) for 286 yards, 1 TD
0-10 Yards Down Field: 47/75 (63%) for 404 yards, 1 INT
11-20 Yards Down Field: 18/33 (55%) for 330 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs
20+ Yards Down Field: 16/43 (37%) for 622 yards, 7 TDs, 1 INT

When TCU has a lot of success in the passing game, it comes on the deep ball. They are really going to challenge Tech's secondary in this area Saturday night.

No Pressure: 108/169 (64%) for 1,207 yards, 7 TDs, 3 INTs
Under Pressure: 27/60 (45%) for 435 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT
Not Blitzed: 111/180 (62%) for 1,330 yards, 5 TDs, 2 INTs
When Blitzed: 24/49 (49%) for 312 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs

Duggan has been sacked 20 times, had 2 batted balls, WRs have 12 drops, and has 7 throw aways.

He's completing 55% to the left outside the numbers versus 32% to the right outside the numbers. He's 62% inside the numbers. These numbers aren't including throws at the LOS or behind.

He's ran for 158 yards on 21 scrambles. He has fumbled 7 (!!) times.

RT Andrew Coker has allowed 16 pressures and committed 8 penalties. RG Austin Myers has allowed 15 pressures and committed 9 penalties.

Taye Barber (44), Quentin Johnston (34), Bair Conwright (27), & Derius Davis (22) lead the team in targets at WR. Barber has seen a huge reduction in snaps the last two week, Johnston is averaging over 20 yards per catch, Conwright didn't play against Oklahoma State last week, and Davis can really get vertical, he can fly.

This will be a big challenge for a Tech defense that has improved throughout the season. Keeping Duggan in the pocket and always spying on him will be a major key if Tech is going to have success in slowing down TCU's offense.
