Erik McCree will put it on for the final time at the TAC this afternoon. It'll be a 1pm start for the Dunkin' Dogs in the regular season finale. The Dogs have clinched the 2 seed in the CUSA Tournament next week. After losing las Saturday against Rice it'll be big to get back on track. Qiydar Davis & DaShawn Robinson will be honored today as well.
McCree has had one heck of a career. He will end up in the top 20 in all time scoring at Tech, and has gotten better and better every year. I remember when he was just a sophomore and was lackadaisical defensively and would lose minutes because of it. Fast forward to this year and he is a very good defensive rebounder and plays hard on both ends. He is definitely a strong candidate to be the 3rd consecutive Dunkin' Dog to win CUSA Player of the Year.
The Diamond Dogs play at 4pm, definitely a lot going on in Ruston today. I'll be in Shreveport all day, so not sure how much I'll be on the board for those looking for updates.
