Louisiana Tech Football Head Coach Skip Holtz announced today that he has made a key change to the 2-deep depth chart for the UAB game this Saturday.

"After a weekend to think things through, I have decided to make a much needed change in our QB2 position on our depth chart for the UAB game," Skip Holtz said during his press conference early this afternoon.

While Louisiana Tech has had a good season with an 8-2 mark and is tied for first in the C-USA West Division, the QB2 position has been a struggle for Tech all year.

The QB2 position was held by two quarterbacks this season: Aaron Allen from the UTEP game to the North Texas game, and Westin Elliott for the other eight games.

Allen and Elliott combined to go 6/15 for 68 yards and 5 INTs with 2 carries for -10 yards at the QB2 position through ten games.

Holtz addressed the urgency to find an suitable replacement to fill the QB2 slot immediately.

"With J'Mar out this Saturday, we need to select someone who can perform just as well as Allen and Elliott have this season as the QB2."

Skip Holtz then announced his unconventional selection for the QB2 position.

"Today, I am announcing that the entire UAB football team will be our QB2 this Saturday. I am very hopeful that UAB's football team will do as good a job in Birmingham on Saturday as our other QB2s have done the first ten games in 2019."
