I told BC I would not do this— comment on here- but guess I’m a slow learner…
First, for my family, it was enjoyable to see almost the whole Aillet family in a kind of “remembering day” for Mr Bobby..who of course loved his Dogs! So, it was a mini reunion.
Secondly, enjoyed talking to our very own BC and BH during the game! “ it was fun!
Third, our NWLATAG tailgating tent was honored to feed “Junior, Kobi, and five other basketball kids! They came and stayed about an hour. Very polite! Those guys could be special this year!
Now— the game. That Kelly kid(QB) might be the biggest and best QB I’ve seen at the Joe since Culpepper from UCF came back in the 90’s! What a player!
That said.. we have talent, but are basicly not well coached at all— from the HC, to the DC, to and especially the ST coach. Entertaining though I guess it was, it’s just the same ole junk.. if yesterday didn’t convince you that we’ve gone as far as we can with SH and are well on the downside of that “bell curve)… well, don’t know what to tell you! Though SLU had an exciting offense, , we should have beaten them by 17-21 points. Our defense— especially the Db’s were beyond bad..whether that was scheme or just bad playing, I don’t know.. it looked like both to me.. our DC looked absolutely clueless in the 2nd half…
I have no idea WHY I continue to watch this crap. I do enjoy seeing my friends and tailgating— and almost dread walking into that stadium knowing that likely no matter what— we will be in a tight game..Louisiana Tech has had plenty of HC’s that you just felt confident in to get the job done through the years— but this guy— this guy— though a nice guy— is just annoying and about one of the worst game day schemers I’ve ever seen..it’s just disheartening….
I truly also thought the game day atmosphere would be changed..though “frats” got back to Hideawy— the same ole stale music with bad sound, boring HT show with annoying announcer, all of it—just sos…maybe our AD had to see it to make some changes, I don’t know..
And kudos to East side, kids staying.. west side sucked.. our attendance was abysmal really…. Only true diehards come anymore, no “casual fans”… personally, I don’t think we start averaging 18-24,000 again until a whole new regime takes over.. everybody knows the SH style, and their not going to waste their time and money anymore..
I could continue to go on and rant—but you get the point right?
Every year— every game— I just KNOW it’s going to change👍🙄

Will I be ther for SMU? Probably. I am a “glutton for punishment”😡
