It didn't take long for Louisiana Tech to figure out its scheduling philosophy for FCS home games following the success of a 2015 date with Southern.
A crowd of 27,905 flocked to Ruston for the home opener last year that produced enough positive feedback to try and duplicate that in 2018.
Tech will host Southern on Sept. 8, 2018 in the Bulldogs' home opener. The FCS game rounds out a 2018 nonconference schedule that features road games at LSU, Mississippi State and South Alabama.
