First, I made my way into the cool confines of the TAC (seriously, if the state of Louisiana needs some advice on saving money, one place is to keep the TAC's A/C off of refrigerator mode) for Coach Konkol and Co.'s Elite Camp. After all, you can't spell elite without "L.T." right?
To say they're look for length and got it on campus is an understatement. They're looking for a scorer from the wing and a front court guy to finish off the 2017 class.
Five-star 6-11, 220-pound Ikey Obiagu is incredible. It's a long-shot for Tech to land him but him being on campus is huge. Ibrahim Ali, a Nigerian playing in Maumelle, AR does not hold an offer yet but he sure looks the part at 6-8, 220. Victor Enoh is another big with great length at 6-9, 195.
On the wing, Victor Enoh has good length and is a good scorer from San Antonio but his mom and dad are natives of South Louisiana. Hot Springs native Exavian Christon is smooth as silk, Tech has offered and the Hogs are flirting. A scorer with great length from Texas, Mike Adewunmi. Tech has not offered but several mid-majors have already. Watching Dedric Boyd is something special. You keep asking yourself, "does he miss?" or "man he's smooth." This seems to be Tech's priority at the wing. He scored 38 this spring in an AAU game.
I then walked over to the triple-digit field of The Joe.
It appears Tech's offensive prowess has gotten around. East Saint John WR CJ Turner was on hand I was left impressed by him.
George Scott of Natchez also impressed at WR.
Offensive lineman Conner Estes had a really good day and was singled out by Tech coaches after the event along with everyone I mention here.
