Anyways, I decided to take a look at ECU from a statistical standpoint on the mound.
It's interesting. They lost their ace for the entire season due to a positive drug test. PEDs.
In turn, they don't have one pitcher that has started every weekend. They are starting a guy today with 29 appearances (11 starts).
They have 2 relievers that at least 33 appearances. The relievers are 1 and 2 in innings pitched this season.
They have 6 guys with at least 25 appearances on the mound. 11 different guys have recorded saves this season.
Very non-traditional style that seems to be predicated on winning the current game regardless of who is needed on the mound. Worry about tomorrow when you get there.
