The wife and some friends want to go camping this weekend - tent camping on a primitive camp site. I don't want to miss the game this Saturday so I'm thinking about bringing a 26" TV, my spare satellite dish and my satellite receiver. I purchased a piece of 1-5/8 galvanized pipe to mount the dish on. It will slide into the holes on the bed of my truck, I thought about burying in the ground but that's too much trouble and I didn't want to bother with a tripod. My concern is power. I don't have a generator but I do have a 300w inverter I'm bringing. If I leave the truck running while we are watching the game, will the 300w inverter provide enough power to run the tv and the receiver?
I work the games so I never tailgate so I'm new to this and I don't have a generator so shoot me some suggestions please.
