Nothing about S'port or the IBowl in this thread please. Just Football talk.
Things we can't control: 1. Potential for academic casualties (No, I don't have inside info, nor do I know of any - but the potential is always there). 2. The weather.
I have watched some, but not a lot, of Miami football this year prior to this game even being on the radar. My thoughts based upon the limited sample:
Miami has a good D with good athletes. Not surprising. It will be hard to run against them. They will also bring pressure. Yea, I know they will be missing some DLs, but their replacements seem as good if not better.
Miami's Offense tends to sputter - a lot. Can look ok and then bad in the same game. Hard to put a finger on the problem.
It seems that our strength (Offense) will be playing against their strength (Defense). Conversely, our weakness (Defense) will face their weaker side of the coin (Offense).
As has been said, both sides are familiar with the other sides' coaching tendencies. That cuts both ways.
