Dave Nitz, what can you say....I grew up on Bittersweet Ave as did Dave's kid's Jeff and Jay. Dave's love for sports permeated into his two sons. Back then we all played every sport you could think of on bittersweet until the sun set. Sand lot football & baseball mostly. At that time the school across the street was Glenview elementary, although I went to AE Phillips, a La Tech Laboratory school. Anyway, the neighborhood had plenty of football and baseball fields to play on for free and boy did we. Now the baseball field, which was positioned between Mr. Nitz's and the Viator's home, is now a softball field for Ruston High. If those grounds could talk.....So the point I'd like to make here is I'm utterly impressed by Dave's ability to still call Tech sports. I listened to the Tech So Miss game tonight on All Access and he made me actually feel like I was in the TAC. It seems like he's caught his second wind this year and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed listening to the legend in action tonight. He hasn't lost a step!! Nice job Dave Nitz!! Go Dogs!
