Here are some tidbits on UTEP to get you set for the game on Saturday:

- Gavin Hardison will start at QB. He's completed 12 passes that traveled 20+ yards down the field for 544 yards. That's 45 yards per completion, but he's also thrown 5 INTs on these throws. UTEP uses play action on only 18% of its drop backs.

- Ronald Awatt and Deion Hankins are the 2 primary RBs. Awatt has 77 carries, Hankins 60. Hankins is more of a bruiser type, averaging only 3.1 yards per carry. It's a zone run game, similar to NC State's.

- Calvin Brownholtz is a QUARTERBACK that will come in the game to run the football. He's taken 45 snaps, rushed the ball 24 times on those 39 snaps. He only has one carry over 10 yards, long of 11, so it's not explosive. He's 1/6 with an INT throwing the ball.

- Jacob Cowing the GUY at WR. He's got 609 yards receiving on 26 catches. He lines up in the slot 75% of the time. Does have 5 drops. Justin Garrett is the primary outside guy. He'll line up outside 81% of the time, has 18 catches for 308 yards. None of the WRs are big yards after the catch type guys.

- They've run blocked and pass blocked pretty well through the first six games. They have no problem keeping 2 TEs in to help in pass game, I think that's some of why the struggle to complete a high %, lots of 3 WR pass patterns. The RBs really struggle in pass pro.

- On defense, Praise Amaewhule is a PROBLEM at DE. He's got 24 QB pressures and 14 QB hurries. He's also batted down 5 passes. He had 3 sacks against Tech last season.

- They've only missed 39 tackles all year.

- The CBs/S have been very meh. They don't have much size at safety either. Key will be controlling their DL, that's what gave Tech issues a season ago.
