With the tremendous elevation of JMar’s play in his Senior campaign, how do you view Todd Fitch’s aptitude as a quarterback coach? I will confess, I didn’t like it when he was hire, and it didn’t help my feelings and when you look at our woeful offensive performances in 2017 and 2018. However, what are we to make of him now in light of what we are seeing this year from QB1? Forget statistics and percentages for a second (although they too would corroborate)...just watching the games, it feels like a completely different quarterback. The struggles with basic WR screens are gone. The worm burners and sailing the ball 10 feet over the receiver - gone. The sulking and sitting in isolation on the bench - gone. The lack of pocket presence and holding on to the ball far too long - gone.

The quarterback play over the past year is dramatically different from 2018 to 2019 and JMar should rightfully receive praise. But what in the world are we to think about Fitch now? Was JMar’s progression self-propeller or do we have a far better QB coach in 2019 than 2018?
