ULL enters tonight with a 20-17 overall record and 8-7 in conference play. They have won 8 of their last 9 games.

Tech has won 3 of the last 5 matchups between the teams.

First pitch is set for 6PM.

Leal will get the start once again for Tech. He deserves some better luck than he has had lately. Hopefully the offense can put up runs early and often.

Austin Perrin will get the start for the Cajuns. He is a left-hander that is 2-4 on the year with a 4.50 ERA. He has allowed 45 hits in 38 innings pitched. He has walked 15 and struck out 26. He has given up 6 home runs, that’s a really high number.

Dylan Moore was expected to be a dominant closer but he has struggled thus far. In 13 innings, he has a 5.54 era and allowed 19 hits and walked 8.

Senior Logan Stoelke has been there best reliever. He has a 1.31 era in 20 innings pitched to go along with 8 saves.

Offensively this club was downright dreadful until a couple of weeks ago. Lately they have really swung the bats well, hopefully Leal can keep them down.

Kenon Fontenot is perhaps their best hitter, hitting .271 with 2 home runs and 25 RBI.

Hayden Cantrelle is a freshman that is hitting .267 with 1 home run and 14 RBI. He is probably the best freshman in the Sun Belt Conference. He was a 40th round draft pick out of high school.

As a team, ULLLL is hitting .226 with only 10 home runs on the season. They are striking out over 8 times per game, while walking less than three times per game. They are averaging 4 runs per game.

For comparison, Tech is striking out 6 times per game and walking 4 times per game.
