Tech wraps up their midweek slate on the road tonight at Lafayette. The Dogs enter the game at 32-15 overall while the Cajuns are 28-19-1. Lafayette has lost 5 of their last 6 and are reeling down the stretch. An at-large bid looks like a pipe dream at this point for them, but in their mind they are probably ranked 15th in the country and should be hosting a regional.
Right-hander Evan Guillory is expected to get the start for ULLLL. He has a 3.59 ERA in 52+ innings. We all know the drill. They can really pitch but struggle to score runs at times. Steven Sensley leads them with a .319 average and 9 home runs.
This would be another nice road win that would strengthen Tech's resume. A lot of different arms are expected to throw tonight, but with the game on the line Ahlrich and Hasler will have the ball. I don't expect Washam to be in there tonight, but I know he'll be fighting like crazy to get back in there so we'll see what Burroughs decides to do.
