Tech basketball assistants Josten Crow and Desmond Haymond are getting one year contracts with the same structure as the football assistants for $140,200 each. Crow is a new hire from ULL and Haymond was making $115,000 before.
We already knew most of this, but ULL is getting $15 million to name their football stadium “Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center Stadium.” The abbreviated name will be “Lourdes Stadium.” Apparently ULL has already received $4 million of the amount, but my guess is that they are counting all prior donations from OLoL towards the total to make it sound more impressive. Based on the naming agreement documents submitted to the board so far and ULL telling me that there is no contract currently available, it appears that there is no dedicated purpose of the gift other than just a pure cash donation in return for stadium naming rights.
ULM is building a $1.4 million softball locker / study / lounge / office facility at their softball field.
Grambling one ups us with a 10 year deal with Coke.
Pretty boring stuff otherwise plus some things we already knew are going for approval like Burrough's and Konkol's contracts.
