Alright everyone... started doing some breakdown of what to expect this week. As most know, USC is led by Nick Saban disciple and former Florida HC, Will Muschamp. The 'Cocks are 2-1, winning against NC State (35-28) in Charlotte & @ Missouri (31-13), they lost their home opener this weekend to Kentucky (23-13).

Coming into the season the team was expected to improve upon last season's 6-7 record, but how much was to be determined. South Carolina took a major blow Saturday night when they lost wide receiver Deebo Samuel (Carlos Henderson-style player) to a broken leg. Samuel was 14th nationally in all-purpose yards, 24th in kick return yards (2 TDs), 20th in receiving TDs, 8th in scoring, 2nd in total TDs and was averaging 16.67 yards per catch. Of 706 total receiving yards, he had accounted for 35% of those yards and 1/2 the TDs (3/6).

South Carolina does return a solid, but young QB. Their running game is by committee. The biggest concern entering the season on offense was their line play. O yeah, they have a really big, really good TE named Hayden Hurst. Has 8 catches for 106 yards and a TD.

Their place kicking has been atrocious. They currently 1-5, with the only make coming inside 40 yards.

Defensively, they are 107th on 3rd down, 108th in 1st Downs against, 102 against the pass, 77th against the rush, 93rd in total defense, but they are 14th in Turnovers Gained, having recovered 4 fumbles.

All in all, I have new found hope going into this game. J'mar had a great confidence builder, the offense seems to be figuring out who they are, and the defense is good enough.
